Family life

My uncle died sunday. My aunt informed me he died the same day as my dad but different year. I have mistaken that. That is because since 2019 I have lost sooo many , once every year. My mom 2020, my best friend, my 2 aunts, 1 aunt through marriage, my step son, & now my uncle.

Its too depressing. Of all people i am the one who says its life. I know this. But i dont even grieve much anymore... i am just in a state of numbness or maybe a tear here and there .. who am i supposed to concentrate on to grieve.. i just dont. I see signs sometimes and talk out loud to some.

@Enonnanne It's upsetting and depressing when loved ones die. But the fact is, from my POV, is that all deaths are not equal. Generally, a person will only get super depressed when the most loved person in his/her group dies. For instance, if a sibling or parent dies you may not even shed a tear but if a spouse dies you might fall apart.

@Diotrephes this is true. My parents i was close to but my step son was only 28 and it affected me more. Well spouses are def a much harder impact than any death minus a kid. Agree.

So sorry, my condolences.

@samueltyler2 thank.you very much
Concentrate on the ones still alive, remember the dead fondly but do not dwell on them too long, their cycle is complete.

@JamesBugman i dont dwell on them at all. Hence not even remembering when they died. I do concentrate on my family that is left. Too bad they dont care about me. True story.
@Enonnanne We can only control ourselves, not what others do.
