I dreamt about my mother...I must be sick... :D :D :D
I actually AM sick. Went to the doctor today, and I have pretty bad gastroenteritis from food poisoning, and it's caused my THREE ulcers to flare up. Meds won't be ready tonight, either.
I got home from the doctor's appointment and it's a good thing the puke bucket was right there.
I sat there like I was brain dead for about 10 minutes, and then had a premonition that I should NOT hold my breath waiting for my prescription to be filled at Walgreen's.
So I took a LONG nap and I could hear my mother's old typewriter clicking away in my sleep. In the dream, I got up and looked in my father's office, and her typewriter was there on a desk under one of the windows.
I wandered toward the kitchen in the house where I grew up, and my mother was there. I asked, "Did YOU type my paper for me?"
And she said, "Yes.". I said, "Thanks!"
That was the entire dream. She actually did type one of my papers for English Lit. when I was laid low by a major allergy attack, and even delivered the paper to the professor's office for me.
So, while I have a very hard time forgiving her bullying and manipulations and general all round meanness, I am reminded that she was always very kind to me when I was sick.
