If anyone cares, here's an update from a self proclaimed former member of SW

And i won't be deleting my account like i would normally do, if i feel like i just have to share something, then this is the only platform i have to say anything, and that can be useful at times.

Dad is at the hospital again, he's been there since Monday, his heart rate goes up and down and they are monitoring it for a-fib.

When he gets back this abode will be smoke free, and some healthier choices will be made.

I am in the process of coming to terms with my own nicotine addiction, and with limitations on the ability to order cheap smokes online, limited funds, and my dad's health, they all are saying the same thing, QUIT!!

But thinking of that gives me cravings, you know what's a bit better? Being entertained by scary stories, and i've been indulging big time in the rich catalog in Kindle Unlimited with the KJK Horror Collection anthologies, some really good stuff there and over 20 volumes, and the work of one Nick Roberts, all in KU. The theme of addiction pops up in this stuff too, and i think it helps to be seeing addiction as a dark force to battle against.

Before officially deciding to retire from SW, i had gotten Clive Barker's Books of Blood, and that is some stellar stuff there, last story i read from that was where a production of Twelfth Night is being put on, if you know you know, and gosh that was ghoulishly good.

Now you're all up to speed, and can get back to spending time with better people than someone who's decided to skidaddle. t/c and love from the ever glowing embers of the fireplace of my bosom,

I quit smoking after 15 years the way AA says to quit drinking. I told myself I didn't need one right now. I carried my cigarettes around and told myself if I want one I'll have one but I don't need one now. No pressure. After 4 days I threw them away. That was 1981.

@hunkalove I understand that approach, thanks!!
You might consider nicotine pouches to wean down your cravings. Most ppl need to reduce instead of go off cold turkey for lasting success. Just a suggestion!!
