Do you feel like you are written out of the family script, and what ever you do it isn't good enough! Maybe your family don't see you anymore or tell you you are useless. When about your mum is she siding with your sister and always makes allowance for her. Maybe it's time to just walk away and build yourself a better life. You can choose friends but sadly you can't family. Hold your head up and live your life with your rules

My sister was a bit herself MINUS tryna seek attention. She wanted the best for me and her fam but believed in "Saving EVERYTHING " (money, energy bills) for the "Unseen" future. She would switch off TV and unused plugs from the main to save electricity. Her biggest lecture and downfall was orthorexic behavior.
But we kinda just put up with her believing in her as she wasn't seeking attention at all, nor was she selfish.

It went horribly, I tried explaining how I was feeling and turned it around on me and tried to make me feel guilty for living my own life.

No, your life was and is real; they are the liars.
I think that they just sort of gave up on you and decided to prefer your sister.
That's really screwed up to have your nuclear family and another ring or so of family be like that.
Perhaps this clarity will give you the freedom to explore being who you truly are...
