Why are you proud of your grandparents?

My maternal grandma passed when I was a young child. The only memory I have is of her sitting in a chair looking unhappy about something or other.

My grandfather had PTSD from piloting a bomber in WW2. He was mute the entire time I knew him and never said a word. I remember my grandmother screaming at him while he just sat there staring silently. That’s about all I can remember of them.

The horrors he must have witnessed... :(

@rinkydinkydoink I do respect and admire the strength it must have taken to go through what he did, but proud really isn’t a word I like to use. Especially when seeing what war does to people.
