I wish i had siblings around my age.

Im 20 yrs old. I wish i had a brother or sister around my age. I have two sisters who are 14 and 12 yrs older than me. I'm an only boy. Whenever i see my friends, cousins or people out in public, they always have siblings around their age. It makes me jealous. I wish I had a sibling I could protect.

I'm pretty mad that my mom doesn't see how i feel. She just laughs about it. My dad is the same way too. I'm glad I'm not an only child but sometimes i feel like an only child. Even both my parents have siblings around their age. Sometimes i wish i wasn't born.

It does feel like you have less shared lived experiences and you're constantly playing catch up because of how much you're in different stages of your life with them but being closer in age doesn't determine how close and how well you can get along.

I've seen twins that don't even like each other lol. Your relationship with them will probably or can shift the older you get.

I have a brother 5 years younger than me, I feel like I'm an only child because he has checked out on all levels. There is no guarantee that if you had siblings around your age that you would have the relationship you dream of. You may want to protect them, but you can't foresee what their personality towards you would be like.

It's not all that it's cracked up to be, I have two older brothers, we're all 14 months apart, being the youngest I was mostly ignored by them.
