How can we play together?

My six and eight year olds and their friends have recently really been into the game called red rover, they really want to play a team that is all of them and a team that is us (each of the kids parents) *** before anyone says it, we are well aware of how the traditional game is played and we are willing to do what it takes to play this on a even playing field with the kiddos***

My question is how do we play?Obviously we’re going to be gentle I can’t stress that enough., but we just have a questions

Us parents are most likely just going to be controlling the entire outcome while playing the game, I don’t think the kids team will be very effective, and thinking we’ll just have to pretend. Just to give you an idea, even if a parent was just standing next to the kids. All it would take is the gentlest of nudges to break their link,, it is not only a strength thing, but a weight factor, and so with that in mind how can we play? Is there anyway the kids will legit be able to break our link? Is there a way that the grown-ups legitimately couldn’t break their link? Is there anyway that the children can control the outcome of the game also instead of us faking and pretending for the whole game?
Yet more of your obsession with children.

Anyone requiring clarification, see my answer here.

@OlderSometimesWiser i surfed through the links you gave and ran into more links and then more.
You really think this person is disturbed? I thought its just a doting parent with the 2 growing kid daughters in her mind all day.

Maybe suggest a different game you all can play. Try to explain the potential safety issues with red rover

@SJones48 there’s no way that we can play it down at their level?

@2goboXes I was suggesting possibly another game or try to think outside the box on how to make it safer
