Would you class it as disrespectful to your parents to say that you don’t like your names?

I like my given names alright. My first name is difficult for people to say so I go by a shortened name. I don't think it's necessarily disrespectful to parents to not like one's name but it could hurt their feelings if they put a lot of thought and meaning into it.
