My 23 and Me results

So after crying for a couple hours while messaging the woman I thought was my sister for the last 33 years, even though we have only started talking after 24 years, she decided we’re sisters anyway, chosen sisters. ☺

I’m still mad, but feeling a lot better and now this is going to be an adventure while I contact cousins and try to find out who my father is. Hopefully develop relationships with some of them.

I’m quite a mix, those results were cool.

Is there some leads to find your biological father? I have two nieces that have never met their biological fathers. One has no hope of doing so because her father was murdered in a drug deal. She has only.seen her bio mom maybe 4 times in her life. She is only 5 yrs old, but we are already discussing with professionals.whem and how to let her know. My other niece has a bio father out there somewhere but she doesnt know yet but she will soon. Was there a reason why you were misled? I am so sorry.

I'm sorry that you're going through this and I feel your anger. My mother, actually adoptive mother, hid from me for close 49 years that I was adopted. Ancestry DNA confirmed it. I have a pretty good understanding of what you're going through. I was pissed too, and I wasn't okay also. Such news knocks you off of your horse.

I hope that you might have a chance to locate your biological father or at least some cousins that can point you in the right direction.

I don't know my biological father and I couldn't care less! I have lived in the same small town my whole life and he has never tried to contact me.

Sorry to hear that. That can be a risk for people. I discovered a 2nd cousin who was born out of wedlock, and apparently disowned by my family. In corresponding, you could tell she was bitter, and rightfully so.

That's horrible to find out in that way, sorry sis

that is a tough one to deal with and i hope you can heal from that. but i will say that experience probably made you a great mother to your son and daughter. my mom had a really shitty childhood and vowed that her 2 boys have a good upbringing...i'm sure you're raising your kids right and doing the best you can....keep up the good work!
