I'd say real but it wouldn't matter. The question itself is meaningless. If we are in a simulated or non-simulated environment, there is no way to tell. Experience is reality. Just like in books, dreams and flashbacks the effect of experiencing them is very real. The only real difference is discontinuity between one person and everyone else.

And discontinuity between one person and everyone else is very, very easily explainable. Most well adjusted folk don't actually like talking about nebulous topics. I am included in this group.

Simulation theory just seems like an extra unnecessary assumption to me, and it doesn't make any sense. Why would something more advanced than us devote all its time to creating and maintaining an artificial enviornment for us.
Science proves we’re living in some sort of simulation

You slipped and hit your head when you were out drinking in your 20s.
The reason you never get ahead in life is because you can't envision what you haven't experienced.
You're locked in a vegetative state.

My brain constantly tortures me with these thoughts.

Whatever you do, don't focus on your breathing. You wouldn't want to have a panic attack.

Whether it's real or a simulation we're all puppets for the puppet Master. Whether the puppet Master is El ites that run Washington DC and the rest of the world or a computer simulation.
