Do you have 'No Go areas' near you, the ones where it is wiser to stay away from ? ?

Yes not far from me is an area that used to be a thriving shopping town and a nice place to go. Now many of the shops have shut and it is full of pickpockets, foreigners carrying knives (meat clevers and swords sometimes too), beggars and drug dealers. There is a constant police presence there, but you don't feel safe

@meggie when i was a kid during 80s there were no go areas on west and south sides in chicago.
Dad told me it started in the 50s

@meggie It seems this is becoming commonplace and governments are hardly recognising the problem involved for residents.
It's OK for them as they don't live nearby!

@Patriot96 I'm sure it did in cheaper/council estate areas. Now regardless of where you are in the UK, you are very lucky if you can avoid it.
