No. I suppose there might be a couple of shady bars in Oslo but that's over an hour's drive away.

@ninalanyon That's a fair distance.

@ninalanyon that is crazy A trans person in the USA has a lot of places they can't go. I am you in a safter country for LGBTQIA+ people.
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
@robertsnj It's not paradise I'm afraid. There was a shooting in Oslo in 2022 at the London Pub just before the annual Pride parade. Two people were killed and twenty one injured. The London Pub is popular with LGBTQ+ people.

But on the whole it is safe.

@ninalanyon wait a minute. I thought you have extremely strict gun control laws.
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
@Baremine We do, what's your point?
robertsnj · 56-60, M
@ninalanyon he is talking to me Nina. He wants start a "hey liptard gun control doesn't work" debate with me .

By contrast I want to respect Nimbus and not change the direction of his thread. He and the other pro gun rights people should put that debate on here somewhere though-just not on this thread.
Baremine · 70-79, C
@robertsnj my point is gun control laws do not work. They are just words on paper and can't do anything. It takes a person to enforce them.
robertsnj · 56-60, M
@Baremine I got it. You made that point loud and clear.

My counter point was that has nothing to do with the opening thread question. You could and should open a gun control thread on here but be cool and not de-rail somebody's else thread.

the question of no-go zones is actually a cool question.

@Baremine you should have a gun control discussion on here. ain't nothing wrong with the topic
Baremine · 70-79, C
@robertsnj I have my opinion. I was a weapons man in the USAF. I don't feel gun control is the answer. It is a spiritual problem. Gun control just doesn't help the problem.
Just like diabetes they are treating symptoms not the cause.
