Just something I love

Putting together an album for mom. This is her great-great grandfather. His name was Joseph. I love his face. I know nothing about his life other than they were poor. Given the rest of what I know, education was likely very limited. The descendants of his that I did get to meet all had an amazing resilience and appreciation and good humor. I can only wonder if some of that came from him. I would probably be almost as alien to him as the idea the day that picture was taken that someday someone who loved his existence would share it on …hahaha what’s an “internet?” 😂😂 I’m not sure how much of his world he’d find here anymore.
