What would you think

If you met a potential romantic partner and he/she cut ties with their family.
Would that be a red flag immediately?

My relationship with my family isn't the greatest and i've been thinking about cutting them out of my life. But i'm wondering if people would think badly of me.

context does matter, more of how the "cutting ties" go or relationship with family

one of my cousins (f 18yo) escaped from house with his newly met boyfriend (25 yo)....
the reason? she came up late to her house like 4-5 AM and her mom was obviously upset due to the late hours and literally as said, she took her things and started living with this guy on somewhere very precarious place
she might have her reasonings but thats the dumbest way to go and put everyone on a wtf stance after hearing why was that

Aside, if your family has a toxic enviroment or just bad, i will understand decision as people will back you up if you tell them that uh idk, the family was breaking at core and there was a point of no return in which you had to cut ties
