What would you think

If you met a potential romantic partner and he/she cut ties with their family.
Would that be a red flag immediately?

My relationship with my family isn't the greatest and i've been thinking about cutting them out of my life. But i'm wondering if people would think badly of me.

What do your SO ask about your family? Does he show an interest in them? You could diminish contact with your family from your current level to zero over time at a pace you chose. It won't look as dramatic as your zero-60 approach of "cut ties"

Are you comfortable telling us what is going on between you and your family? Why you want to eliminate contact with them?
