Supermarket self-checkouts. Good, bad, indifferent, nightmare ?

I’ll use them if I only have a few things, but my luck won’t hold for a cartful. Besides I actually kinda like the human contact thing with a cashier. A little chit chat, a chuckle, a familiar face. It reminds us we’re part of a community. I think we should value that more.
