Ladies, how much are you like your mother. Men how much are you like your father ?

I have always hoped to be more like my father in personality than my mother. He was the life of every party, and usually put on a very good show, especially in class when he became a college professor, later in life. Unfortunately, in a crowd or at a party, I am quiet, like my mother. BUT I have a great sense of humor!

He was very intelligent, hard working, and spent his life trying to better himself. He also liked to give things to other people. After the poverty of his childhood he seemed to take joy from it. I am like him in that respect.

Because of the abuse issues, I never wanted to be a bit like my mother, because she could be vicious at times, violent, and stupid. I still find elements of her in myself, and try as hard as I can to root them out.
