Why is chewing tobacco losing it's attraction ?

It’s damned nasty is why. They banned snuff and chewing at an agricultural university in Oklahoma because the students were spitting the snuff into water fountains and leaving their chewing tobacco and snuff spit cups in the classrooms and on the floor next to their desk during class. The custodians got tired of cleaning up all that mess, especially spilled spit cups on the floors.

@cherokeepatti So it's OK at home?

@Nimbus well if they can stop doing it all day then why not quit it completely. It’s not cheap and tobacco is heavily taxed.

@cherokeepatti That's a point 👍

@Nimbus My uncle was a retired farmer and he would smoke outside and chew tobacco inside. Would take a coffee can and use it for a spittoon. Sit it on the floor next to his chair. It got kicked over more than once on the living room rug and it would turn my stomach so bad. I would tell him to clean it up and he would, I didn’t get angry often over accidents but that was nasty.

@cherokeepatti Oh my!

I have never seen it here.

@Nimbus thank goodness. They’ll even spit on the sidewalk etc. It’s damned nasty
