I've had both, and I'd prefer to have a baby.

@AbbeyRhode I have had kidney stones too, terrible!
AbbeyRhode · F
@Nimbus I know, several times, *Hugs*

I passed three kidney stones (one on the right, two on the left) and it was absolute non-stop agony. I was left to suffer for 3+ hours in the ER before they processed me and learned a new definition of pain.

@PatKirby OMG, didn't they give you anything for pain? 😯

Nothing for 3+ straight hours. Totally ignored me at the front desk, even though I was writhing in pain, because it was a big line and policy to find the cause first. You would think they would practice triage more effectively.

@PatKirby That's horrible. No one in that kind of pain should ever wait that long.

Thank you for understanding. Not ashamed to admit it brought this former bodybuilder down low with a few tears in my eyes. While finally administering a pain relief injection the staff told me they'd seen grown men over 6 feet tall on their knees squealing like a pig.

I can tell you that during those 3+ hours of complete torture I actually thought of death a couple of times and how it would somehow be ok because I was at least there in the ER where they would help me. Ironically I also noticed that I felt closer to the almighty creator. I did notice that when I finally realized there was no escaping the severe pain and fighting it brought no relief whatsoever, deciding to give in to the pain actually reduced it! Moments after my injection I was in relief heaven and thought I was floating on air! That lady who injected me was a saint and I told her so! I didn't care if she even injected me directly in the eyeball, it stopped the evil satanic pain 🤣

@PatKirby I do. By the time I got to the hospital, I was crying from the pain, but thankfully, I was given a shot for the pain fairly quickly.
PatKirby · M
@AbbeyRhode
That's great to hear you got relief quickly from the excruciating pain. Did they recognize the symptoms quickly?

@PatKirby Yes. The doctor tapped a specific spot, and it sent me through the roof, and he said kidney stones. They gave me a painkiller right away, and then took x-rays.

@PatKirby it was the er. I was also 9 months pregnant, and having never had kidney stones, I was frantic that something was wrong with the baby.
