Fav Day Of The Week

So, my favourite day of the week is a Saturday, specifically the morning.

As I work in the evenings through the week and at weekends, Saturday mornings I love to get up fairly early, have breakfast together with my wife and our daughter...a light breakfast...

...and then I go for a run, around 6 or 7 miles, shadowed by my daughter on her bike, and my wife....they make it all 'Rocky' like, which is fun....what isn't fun, 5 miles through, is your 9 year old daughter shouting 'Go Faster! Go Faster!'

But it makes a lovely family time together, later shopping together and making a late lunch.

Sounds amazing... I got up this morning early to go hunting (here at the farm) and my husband was up. He made me a giant bacon, egg, and cheese Biscuit for my breakfast in the blind and a thermos of hot chocolate. My pack was ready (water and snacks)...Then he went back to bed. I still have to text every hour to let him know I am ok. My kids were zombies and didnt go to bed till just before I got up. ☺️

@TexChik Oh...dear! My condolences! Lol! I do wonder how our 9 year old will be as a teen. She's an early morning gal, which is good, at the moment....

@SammyJo. My daughter is very sweet. With her I make suggestions and she quietly figures out I was right, but if I was wrong she is happy to point that out. My son is huge , like his father but he loves his momma and he would snap to if I asked him to do something. I try not to abuse the privilege. Your angel will be just fine.

@TexChik I have two daughters...big age difference between both. My eldest? She went through her stroppy teens...stroppy 20's and into her stroppy 30's! LMAO! No, she's mellowed a lot over the years.

She's a good girl.

Our youngest? Not stroppy at all...well, unless she can't play a song part properly, first time!

But we love 'em all, eh?

For me it's Friday afternoons/evenings. That is when I would pick up my daughter from school when we first started to foster her; gently persuade her to part with her school uniform (so I could wash it); watch with amusement as she tried to get all her homework done at once; then dinner, videos, baths, reading, bedtime chats (in no particular order) as we eased ourselves into the weekend.

@SunshineGirl Oh, thankfully we don't get any tears...but she does want everything done so she can practice her guitar! I think she loves her guitar more than she does me! Lol!

I was always on my bike as a kid. I was pretty quick on my feet and it translated to bike riding as well. Possibly the fastest kid on the block. Man I was fantastic as a kid. If only life at home was just as great. Sorry for soiling your post.
