Not sure my Mother ever was until I became her carer and it finally dawned on her none of the 'favoured' were queuing up to take my place.
Not sure my Dad would even know me today.
Haven't been able to get down to see him since pre-covid due to problems either with my health or my mother's.
He has Alzheimer's.
He's being cared for by his wife's family.
