Update on my brother

My brother is still in the hospital and we still don't know. They were unable to get his heart rate down enough to do the planned test so tomorrow they're going to do a PET scan.

Thank you all for your loving support, prayers, and positive energy.

Still on my. Prayer list.

The same brother with type-2 diabetes and recent medicine change? If so, may I suggest a deep internet dive into what people are saying about that med. Start with what the FDA has to say.

God bless you, and him. We will keep praying.
@Heartlander I just did the deep dive on Mounjaro, and told him about it. it HAS sharply reduced his glucose levels, but I don't know how it has affected his heart rate, which is dramatically elevated. He experienced chest pain ling enough to drive him to the ER.
@Heartlander I forgot to thank you for your prayers - but I felt grateful, just the same.
@Mamapolo2016 Yes, One of the sites, I believe the drug maker's site, says 20% in the test sample had elevated heart rate, but didn't disect that number further.

If bro had the same stress test that I once had, it can be like a chemically induced nightmare without the nightmare part. And also a practical insight into the relationship between our biochemistry and our emotions.
@Heartlander He doesn't much care to discuss it now - I suspect he thinks panic attacks happen to delicate fragile creatures.

I love him entirely, but like me, perfect, he ain't.
@Mamapolo2016 In the old days, I think they did that did that stress test by making you run up and down a flight of stairs. Now they do it by shooting stress hormones or chemical equivalents in the blood stream. The good part is it helps discover what's causing the elevated heart rate and pressure.

You and bro may not be perfect, but it sounds like you two are more perfect than the rest of us :)

@Heartlander Lordy, i have had it both ways. Give me stairs and the treadmill any day. I thought those drugs would kill me.
@Heartlander Not so. 😂 Rarely ahead of, more often behind, but always part of the struggling crowd.

@Fungirlmmm if you have back issues, stairs and treadmill are not always an option.
@Fungirlmmm Yea, with the stairs you feel stressed and you slow down to ease the stress, with the injection it keeps adding more stress that you have no control over.
