You might want to wait til they work all the bugs out. ...and come down in price a bit. Also, if you currently have a washer and dryer, and the dryer's gas fired, your cost of utilities could go up a bit. Gas is cheaper than electricity.
As i understand it though, these all in one units dry clothes differently than the conventional electric dryers where a lot of heat goes out the vent. The all in ones dont need to be vented. They use a heat pump and retain most of the heat within the unit, so supposedly they're more efficient. ..but i think they take longer to dry. Also, most of them dont trap lint, which could be problematic to the unit as the lint tends to build up inside..
