Am I disobeying my parents if I want to make my own decisions instead of following their advice?

The Bible says that you must HONOR your father and your mother. Give them your respect. Listen to them, while realizing that neither they, nor you, are perfect, and give them the benefit of the doubt.

I wish I had listened to my father when I was in high school.
