World Book Day - March 2nd 2023

Oh what fun in our household...

I know that some parents have their excitement/stress of getting their child sorted with something to wear on this day (think my eldest had it big time this year, with her children..), but I had - from the observers point of view - quite a unique situation...

Where your wife is a teacher at a school and has to dress up - she chose to dress like Mathilda from the Roald Dahl book - and your daughter goes as Dr Seuss's 'Cat In The Hat'...

Weeks of stress...but worthwhile....

Here's a pic of similar costumes to what they wore....and, obviously, not pics of my wife or child...to protect the guilty (ie, my wife isn't as young as the girl in that picture! Not even close! Lol! 馃き)

(Ironically, 'Mathilda' is my fav book , growing up...)

Both successful, coming back home. Both had a fantastic time...

..as an aside, it really is important to read. To stretch imaginations, to have fun, to learn stuff. Keep on reading.

Sent charlie and the choclate factory, the great glass ekevator, and a big bar of chocolate with a golden ticket and a wonka bar wrapper to my friend in the philippines to read to Avisha. She loves chocolate.

Couldn't agree more... Each book is a holiday for the imagination
