A sense of security at home, invaluable in truth.

My parents had gates put in at the end of the drive to the farmhouse, which open with a blipper, or you can punch in a code. The whole house is covered by CCTV, even the bathrooms, and the control room that has the recording devices is not easy to find if you attempt to burgle our home. What is funny is my Dad uses the same code for the house as for the gates, but in reverse order.

This morning he came into my studio before he left to let me know one of his electricians will visit, and likely be here a few hours, running more cabling to his office, so he can begin to work at home a lot more. He already has three telephone lines in for the various devices he uses in his office, but he said there was a glitch of some sort on the system so hence the electrician.

I think he is here, I can check on the monitor if anyone is moving around inside the house, the system has a split screen with the capacity to play back last movements filmed without interrupting the continual feed. So, yes, looking at it the electrician is here. It is 11:46, getting close to lunch time for me here, so I shall return into the main house to go to the kitchen. I will use the tannoy to ask the electrician if he wants lunch. He looks quite busy.

Now that's an American level of paranoia.
