My dad thinks its stupid i watch people stream video games on twitch instead of playing myself...

@Ducky Yes, but there’s an obvious difference. I’m not going to watch people playing Monopoly or Chutes and Ladders. In sports, you’re watching to enjoy the athletic prowess and it’s effect on the game, standings and season. I’m watching because it’s an athletic endeavor versus a tv show, video game or porn… all of which are streamed.

@Adogslife Video games require a degree of skill and visual perception. There are large scale competitive gaming competitions out there as well. Plenty to admire when watching someone else gaming. But I guess we can agree to disagree, lol.

@Ducky I agree, it’s just not my thing. It simply doesn’t provide me with the same rush because I don’t play video games at all.

@Adogslife i would never watch cricket or baseball or other niche sports.. but i dont think watching those sport is stupid and the people involved in high level play are just as skillfull in their respective games like basketball, league of legends or water polo
