What’s something traumatizing that your Mom said to you as a child that you still remember?

I used to hate to go to bed and would stand next to the bed but refused to get in it, so my mom would tell me that there were monsters under my bed that would grab my ankles and drag me under the bed and kill me. To this day, when I stand next to my bed, for a second or two I wonder if there’s a monster underneath.

@nonsensiclesnail oh that wasn’t even all of it. She used to tell me that if I didn’t get out of the bathtub when she wanted me to, I would go down the drain and drown in Hell. And that whenever I did something bad like getting into a fight with my sister or making a C on my report card, I was going to burn in Hell. And constantly telling me I was an evil child.

@Mardrae What a garbage way to treat a kid. Im sorry you were that kid. my mom doesn't have a brutal bone in her body. She just utterly ignored me. As long as she didn't have to deal with me, it was fine. Otherwise all I heard from her was how much I hated her. Which was news to me... she has self worth issues.
