Should a man be force/compelled to 'marry' a woman that he's 'accidentally' made pregnant ?

I don't think so. Since when has marriage had anything to do with being a parent? You can be a fantastic relationship partner but a completely shit parent, or a fantastic parent but completely shit at relationships.

I don't buy that there's any linking between 'christian values' and being married. Or being a parent.

But others may beg to differ.

I would argue that the reason that this was a thing was because marriage didn't used to be about love - that is a relatively modern concept, instead it was about securing support to make the next generation and provide security. These days we have other mechanisms to force absent fathers to support their children so compelling marriage is not really needed.
