I have not spoken to my brother for about 28 years

Approximately 3 years ago I decided to try and track him down.
I found who I think is my brother, both initials and a rare spelling of our surname.
Phone number and address.
I am assuming it is him. In the intervening 3 years I made no attempt to contact him.
This morning I have drafted a letter and will write it tonight and post it tomorrow.
I would rather do it this way instead of ringing.
I gave him my email address.
I wonder if he is still at that address?

I haven't talked to my brother since 1986. He is 10 years younger than me. I don't know if he is still alive. Not a happy family. Reading your post made me think about him for the first time in years. No problems between us, just not important.

@hunkalove The reason I have not sought my brother out is for the same reason. Not important.
I have had the address for 3 years, not important.
Why now then?
I am in a peaceful place mentally, so no harm can come form it. If he has moved and we do not connect? Not important.

My mum briefly had an affair and got pregnant with me. I know i have 4 half siblings but I know they are a happy family. I wish i could though as i dont really have much family. Good luck with it.

I wrote the letter.
I thought I would ring the number to find out if it was in fact my brother, no use sending a letter if it is not him.
No one (but me) returns letters to sender, simply throw them in the bin.
Got an answering machine which was a generic Message Bank, no name, only repeated the number.
I left a message, with my phone number and email.
So I still do not know if my brother lives there.

Go for it, Gus

I'm praying for you

@SW-User Might as well see if I can connect with him. No harm done if it does not pan out.
