Why do some people think that parents are above criticism?

Particularly moms....

I honestly don't understand 🤔
Especially to the point of justifying the humiliation and mistreatment of their own kids

I can't imagine having to admit to myself that I accidentally hurt an innocent child who I love and had absolute power over. Not an excuse, but it's something I empathize with deeply.

@BlueVeins what could possibly be stopping the parent from admitting that to themselves? And is that a selfish or selfless emotion? Especially if they realize they hurt the child, shouldn't that rush them to admit their fault? And drive them to fix it? What would be different if they do not admit fault to themselves besides truly hurting and nullifying the value of the child they "love?" 🤔
@BlueVeins its really awful actually.

My daughter is now 21, and sometimes we talk about the past.
And its amazing how one phrase, or one moment can negatively impact your child...
...Even when you thought you were doing the right thing at the time.

There are things i never knew i did , that hurt her.
And sometimes....it was the things that i didnt do that hurt her.

And its way i think aknowledging imperfection is important for a parent .
