Why do some people think that parents are above criticism?

Particularly moms....

I honestly don't understand 🤔
Especially to the point of justifying the humiliation and mistreatment of their own kids

People are almost always weird when it comes to family. They don’t see anything correctly when blood is involved.

Its amazing how many social standards of behaivour are altered or overturned when it comes to family, or especially children.

A good question to always ask yourself as a parent is, "would i treat a friend or a stranger this way?".

Not that it always applies , but its a handy measure to remember.

Its too easy as a parent to succumb to ones own power over their child, and repeat attitudes we were raised with.
