Information Sharing with Family

Do you tell your family what your computer or tablet passcode is? Who do you share it with?
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
No but I could because my parents hate even stumbling upon someone's private stuff accidentally, let alone they would deliberately rummage through places where something private might be found.
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@CrazyMusicLover haha was it 0000 the default one? 😂
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@Dan193 Where would be fun in it?
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@CrazyMusicLover yep, yep
Jessmari · 41-45
No, but I have all their passwords. I used to repairs computers as a hobby. I would assume they have changed them by now. Hopefully.
Jessmari · 41-45
@Fifidog I find a small notepad and pencil is the best way. You can always toss it into a safe or lock box if you feel the need.
@Jessmari Same here. Downside is I also end up being the family free tech support. lol
Jessmari · 41-45
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow oh that never stops lol
Ain't nobody needs that info...
Fifidog · 26-30, F

Fifidog · 26-30, F

smiler2012 · 56-60
@Fifidog i would not expect that information from them
Dan193 · 31-35, M
My family, but I bet they forgot it,because they have their own devices
Fifidog · 26-30, F
Is it like a family computer/tablet? @Dan193
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@Fifidog no, personal laptop
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
Goodness me, no! Why would I do that?
Fifidog · 26-30, F
May I ask why not haha @ninalanyon
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
@Fifidog I'm a closet cross-dresser. Allowing my family access to my computer would out me rather quickly I think.
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
I share it with my family if they want to use my device
Sandcastler · 22-25, M
From a security point of view, sharing passwords really defeats the point of them, since passwords also allow you to know who has access to your computer, not just to restrict access.

So if I wanted someone else to have access to my laptop/phone/whatever, I would set up multiple passwords and give them their own.
PEACH4LIFE · 46-50, F
My daughter has my password to my phone and tablet and my grandchildren have my password to my tablet.
Milkshake · F
since i gotta share my pc with my sister cant keep the pass for me
chrisCA · M
@Milkshake What about your own profile?
Milkshake · F
@chrisCA yeah propably should have set that up but why bother now
Nope and most of my devices are encrypted so without them they are basically ewaste.
