What Would You Do?

If you discovered that your parents who have been nothing but good to you since you can remember weren't biologicaly your family? If you discovered that you were kidnapped as a baby by someone they (your parents) knew (but they had no idea) and the kidnapper took the secret to the grave.

Actually, my brother used to tell me that we had been kidnapped by an evil witch when we were very small, and our real mother was kind and really loved us. Of course it wasn't true, but I didn't know that when I was five or six years old, and my mother could be quite horrible.

In lieu of looking for a non- existent mother whose children had been kidnapped, I found kindness and small dollops of love and mothering from my grandmothers, and from one of my Aunts.

BUT...if that story had been true...yes. I would look for my biological family.

@4meAndyou I've realized that when people were raised in a home where they were hurt they do the same to their kids and the cycle continues from generation to generation till somebody decides to break the cycle. Sometimes my mom would say the meanest of things that are hurtful but when I analyze the root of these words I realize that she's continuing the cycle herself. I used to be the same myself but God transformed me so dramatically and I love the change in me.
