1. Not holding grudges is good.
2. To learn from your mistakes or even other people's mistakes is good.
3. Not interfering in other people's lives as some kind of control freak is good.

That's pretty much how I live my life.

I don't allow other people's "learning curve" to define them. The one thing we all have in common is that we are imperfect. Although some people seek perfection in themself and others it's futile. You have to have grace and humility in life. If not, it will steal your joy.
