Would you steal the car and take your chances with the owner of the car if you knew your child would survive as long as you can get there quickly?

In an emergency like this, you better believe I would go to my child, no matter what it took! And then I would explain to the police why I did that and tell them you are sorry and whatever way they choose to handle this situation, you shall abide with. But I don't think the police would press charges in that case.
