Hm they're probably just concerned, it's invasive and obviously isn't a great feeling but I think it's probably because they just want you to be safe, and probably want to ease their own anxiety over their daughter that they likely love and care about very much.

@Ryannnnnn thank you that is so nice. I am understanding more listening to you all. My parents are worried about me and they are trying their best… thank you for your help

That's some great parenting. Honestly, parents think they have mire rights over their kids lives than they actually do. You're at least 18, therefore your shit aint their business.
Yeah... no... I'd be fitting a lock and looking to move out asap.

What is it that they're afraid of?

@Moonsofmars Do you think it's linked to the reasons why you're in therapy? I mean, are they concerned that you might have a secret stash of medication with which to do yourself harm or something like that?

@SW-User maybe. You’re right. They do want the best for me. I guess I find it hard when my stuff is looked through but it is for a good reason.

@Moonsofmars Anyone would find it difficult and invasive. You want to be trusted and you want privacy, but then sometimes you just have to kind of understand that good parents will naturally worry and they'll trust you more when they're not scared to death of what you might do.
