I'd say that mother is a piece of shit who wasn't doing her kid any favors.

I'd think the mother was messed up

I'd say she's a bit crazy and that the kid is going to be either a maverick or a loser, depends on his or her natural intelligence.
@CrazyMusicLover Well, the kid is now a nurse, specifically a nurse practitioner with a 6 figure income. Also Owns properties that they went own. Also donates to charities.

@Thekeeper So it seems there's not a problem in the end.
@CrazyMusicLover that's right, but it was a long hard road for her, very long and hard, with a mother that only made things harder for her, but she was quite resilient.
My dad never let us go to school at all.. I dont know her reasoning so idk what to say.. but maybe the kid resents it

I would say that is incredibly bad parenting.

I’d want to know why. Were they homeschooling the child, at least ? Otherwise it’s pretty irresponsible and selfish. Further proof that not everyone needs to have children.
@bijouxbroussard No, not homeschooling either. When asked why, all she could say was that was not the reason for the child being in a special class. But, this child went on to become a nurse. So, I know it was because the child was not being educated or thought anything early in life.

@MarmeeMarch True. All kidding aside, not everyone is cut out for STEM.
