I have a big family.

I am the fifth of six children. We are five girls and one boy. My oldest sister Becky has three boys and a girl. My second sister Jenny has five children. The baby was born the day after my birthday! My third sister Karen lost her husband and is bringing up three girls and a boy on her own. My brother Nick has one boy who often stays here with us. Then me. I have no children. Too busy being me! And my younger sister Eirlys has a little boy. Altogether I have 15 nephews and nieces! Luckily I have two jobs!

Christmas must be one huge get together!

@Majorlatency Boxing Day we all get together. Walrus Dip in the morning while I prepare lunch. Enough turkey from yesterday. And I prepare 60 potatoes on Christmas Day to roast. Sausages and sausage meat balls. Stuffing balls. It's all ready in very little time.
Then the Christmas pudding. Prepared way back when. But the white sauce. I cook it slowly and those who don't wish alcohol have theirs and I then brandy bit by bit until it is more brandy than white sauce, according to taste!

@Majorlatency I'm sorry you never knew your father. I am Welsh but my father is Italian. He speaks to me in Italian all the time. Does London have special armpits?

@Blodyn Tredegar is special. The Valleys are special. You go there and immediately you are accepted as one of their own. I love it.

@Blodyn Yes, London armpits smell a bit like the docks circa 1915. But like the docks they're all cleaned up now.

My Mum was a petite very Welsh lady about 5ft 2, I'm 6ft 3 so my Dad must have been very tall!

I spent a lot of time as a little boy in Llantarnam, Cwmbran. I lived with an Aunt who was a nurse in Newport.

When I joined the military I trained many times up on the Brecon Beacons (a very beautiful area). So I do consider myself half Welsh and I'm proud of it.
