Do you have a jealous friend or sibling?

I'm not sure jealous is the word but I know my older brother gets frustrated when his little brother can do the things he cant do or do things better than he can. This is not me tooting my own horn. I try to keep a low profile, I don't want him getting discouraged. Like at the gym, we weight lift together. Most exercises we're equal on weight, sometimes I do more than he does but I try to hide it. Today he was playing Jedi Fallen Order and getting frustrated with this puzzle. He put the controller down to grab his phone and look up the answer, while he was gone I took a swing at it and figured it out in 2 minutes. I didn't tell him of course. I really don't think I'm the smarter brother. I've made some pretty stupid ass mistakes, a lot more than he has. But I try to stay discrete when there are things I know or can do that he can't. He has a competitive spirit and doesn't like to lose

I think sibling hierarchy is difficult for a lot of people. It probably unfortunately has more to do with your parents’ recognition/scolding more than anything you’ve actually done directly.

I’ve had friends who became jealous. I distance myself from those people, but you can’t cut off family so easily 😅 Admittedly, sometimes I feel hints of jealousy when it comes to my little brothers, but that’s because of our parents favoritism over the years. It’s not their fault at all though, so I never let it affect our relationship.
