A rare glimpse of pre-parenting life 😆
Whilst at the beach I often scan to see if there are any lone kids who would make a good friend for my kiddo, so she can play with someone other than me. Today I was in luck, a similar aged kid was looking a little bored and eyeing up my kid, specifically her beach toys.
So I waved and asked my little one if she wanted to make a friend. On the condition that I went over with her to ask the kid to play, she said yes. It’s been 3 hours and I haven’t had to pretend to be a mermaid, or play ‘salon’ and have sand put in my hair as ‘shampoo’… I’ve been left alone to read my book. My child is acting like she doesn’t even know me, except when she wants snacks.
