My 18 year old siblings are going to some party tonight

I have a younger brother & sister who are the same age so they often hang together. My brother is taking his gf & our sister with him.

It's funny because I'm with my 24yo brother & we're all having dinner with his gf, their baby, our stepmom, & dad. When the younger ones were leaving our stepmom warned her daughter "remember just because it's party, doesn't mean you start drinking or doing drugs. Be safe okay?" then there was a short pause & she asks "Why are you guys bringing apple juice?"

My brother & I just started dying laughing 🤣🤣 we didn't say anything but we know what's up 😅

I talked to my little brother taking them to the party though & it's Crown Royal. I asked how he was getting home & they're planning on taking an Uber from his girlfriends house then ubering back to stay the night there. I'm just glad they're safe. Can't say I didn't do worse shit 🤷

Lol my brothers nearly the same age so I can relate to this so well, tbh it almost feels like younger siblings are brought up by different parents

@SW-User accurate ASF 😂 I'm the oldest so I remember being raised VERY differently. I was treated like shit. These kids dont gotta deal with all that thanks to me probably 😅

@ChiefJustWalks exactly i won't lie like obvs i love my brother but when he sends all these snaps of his carefree lifestyle i realised i resent it like fk that as the first siblings we took the abuse and bs and we're our parents craft project and be the perfect child but im rlly happy he and i assume even your younger siblings live such a happy life, like I could only wish to be that confident and bold at that Age

@SW-User that's understandable tbh.. but it was different for me. I did whatever I wanted & lived a wild lifestyle but mainly because my parents couldn't control me & were afraid to stop me. I did that because of the abuse I dealt with as a kid though. My younger siblings were never treated like I was & they're very good kids compared to me.. although they are allowed to get away with a lot. I wasn't allowed to but I just did anyway 😂
I'm sorry though I wish you would've gotten to do more. But it's overrated tbh. I used to think about shit like "I could die in a ditch & my parents wouldn't even know". Makes you feel like no one cares

@ChiefJustWalks oh its the opposite in my case bc my brother is the wild child while i was always the one to do whatever my parents made me tbh i guess its why you come across as more confident person lol

And true i used to have the same thoughts earlier probably our emo era lmao but it's good in the end bc you come out mentally stronger than the average person

@SW-User my 18yo sister who's going to the party with them can relate to you I think. She told me once how she feels like it's not fair we all had more freedom than her. But it's because she's technically our stepsister & our stepmom is a lot more protective of her. She's finally starting to break out of her shell lately & I'm happy to see it.

What would we call the new generations emo phase though? Because like, for us it was emo phases.. for the generation before us it was grunge phases 😂 what do the kids have now?

@ChiefJustWalks yeah i can relate to your sister, and its so lame if you look it up they literally call it traumacore, and ofc you know the sad aesthetic music these days started by xxx; at least we had bmth lol

@SW-User traumacore? Wtf that's cringe ASF 😂 but I guess our emo phase was kinda cringe too.. we just don't see it because thats our thing. & Honestly I loved BMTH & I really love Xxxtentacion too 😅 his music got me through a lot lol
