My mother is concerned about my weight loss. My only explanation for my weight loss is that I've been in an executive role for the past 5 years.

My job causes me a lot of stress so I often forget eating, smoke cigarettes and drink a lot. But I would still have my life over hers, because she has a husband and kids. Yuck! 馃あ
So anyways, I'm 97 lbs and went shopping today to get some t-shirts and a denim jacket and ended up buying from the kids section because nothing else would fit me properly. Does this mean I have a problem?

No but you should try snd eat some healthy meals . Our bodies needs vitamins proteins and minerals its our fuel ! Cigarettes and booze can be one way to cope with stress but it will catch up with you eventually

@Gotallota I do try to eat healthy. I eat salads for lunch as a way to force myself to eat even though I don't have an appetite. Every Saturday I go out for brunch with my sister or mom, or even by myself, before doing my grocery shopping, and that's how I treat myself.
No tbh lifestyle does that to many people you don't have to continually eat or be a certain weight to be ok. My mum does that to me too but I have sm fucking stress she doesn't get it or thinks I can just switch off

@Beebo I'm pretty short too, but I don't know my actual height. I like that some stores have a 'petites' section with pants for tall and short people in that I don't have to go to a tailor to have 6 feet cut off my jeans!

@PrettyLesley Okay yeah. Because if you were tall, then 97lbs isn't much weight. But if you're around 4'7" to 5' or so, then 97lbs isn't bad.

@Majorlatency I was 110 about a year ago, and 117 - 120 back in 2019 - 2020.

@PrettyLesley A twenty pound loss is quite high, especially if there are time lapses between her seeing you.

Stress can certainly be a catalyst for some for weight loss. As many people state its important not to miss out on essential vitamins, protein etc.

Ive survived in the last on cigarettes and alcohol, short term is ok, long term will really mess you and your immune system up.

Look after yourself!
