Family Problems

Have you ever wondered why dads are so bossy? Like my dad's so bossy even though I'm like 23...He can be a handful. And doesn't seem to care about how I feel about stressful situations. he yells at me and always blame me for his anger. which I know it's his choice to be anger or happy/.😔

He wants to ensure you are ok and takes responsibility for you.
@InstructHer he has to trust her more though especially at that age. Even if it means making mistakes,as long as he reassures her he will be there to support her and help her. He has to let her figure out things and learn how to be responsible and ok alone

@PepsiColaP that's a reasonable point but fathers do find it hard especially with daughters.

@PepsiColaP exactly I feel he doesn’t trust me enough
@InstructHer I understand ,but why more so w daughters do you think
InstructHer · 61-69, M
@PepsiColaP because deep down fathers know what men can be like and don't trust other men to take care of our daughters as well as we do!
@InstructHer why do you expect another male to take care of her lol why not just her taking care of herself. Do you expect a male to be taken care of by another female? Is just strange , it sounds like it boils down to gender roles based on sexist ideas
InstructHer · 61-69, M
@PepsiColaP I admit it is seen as patriarchal but it is ingrained

@PepsiColaP and at heart yes I do feel men should take care of their daughters and wives 🤷‍♂️
@InstructHer I think people who love each other ,regardless of their gender or the gender of the other person ,look out for each other's wellbeing . But part of that is also letting them learn to be responsible for themselves
