What do you think it means when someone you know is dead appears to you in your sleep?

CestManan · 46-50, F
Some interpretations say they are delivering a message. These are brief and to the point.

If they do not seem to be doing so, like you are just hanging out with them or whatever, there are many interpretations of that one.

@CestManan I had a hanging out one… and I went along with it until I remembered that they were dead and I started to get scared and began to run away- through a house, not one I’m familiar with, but we met in a house. And I ran out of the room and started going through doors trying to find the exit but I woke up before I really got anywhere in the dream…

@MissNoahLenFoxx Oh crap so you became lucid during the dream.
Do not feel bad that you got scared because even when we are close to someone, the idea of them contacting us from the other side is scary.

See, sometimes I research dream meanings BUT of course it is a pseudo-science at best. There seems to be so many interpretations of dreams.

I lost my sister about a year and a half ago. Not too long ago I dreamed that we were at this shopping center. I was walking and she was driving. I lit up a cigarette and she gave me this disappointed look and drove off.
It was night time and started raining pretty bad and in the dream I knew she was not going to survive because there was a flood.
Weird thing is, her death was not car, traffic, nor even water related at all.

well, i experience that very often. Parents, other family, friends. I think they mostly symbolize something: their character, their role to you, the way they live. Its for me not a thing which is scaring.

Could be random, could mean they are just trying to say hi, could be a hint on giving you some type of advice, it can mean a million things. We don't die, our souls live forever.

They’re on your mind or they represent something that’s on your mind.

I've never thought that it means anything in particular, it's just a memory being moulded by a particular desire, life situation, emotion or thought process. Dreams are exactly that, just memories invoked by life stimulus and used to depict your current mindstate.
