First missed deathday

For the first time in six years I missed a monthly death day. Every month on the 9th 23rd and 25th I am consumed with the thoughts of what happened years ago. Usually the day before as well. But today I realized I let it pass without a thought. And was immediately consumed with guilt. Like I forgot to go visit my dad this month. Is this normal?

It is called coming to terms with past events and getting on with your life.
It is normal behaviour, do not feel guilty.
You can visit your dad's grave anytime at all.

This means you're healing and not focusing too hard on those days. I think this is a good sign.

Don't feel guilty. You're just healing and moving on.
You have to move on. The world doesn't end for the living when someone dies. You shouldn't feel bad.
