Honestly: What is it like?

What is it like to have somebody love you? I mean, somebody to help to build you up, hold you when you're down, support you when you're unsure. Someone who you can trust to be there for you and want what is best for you? I so want to know what that is like before I die. What is it like? To have somebody who inspires you to do those thing in return, and provide and receive companionship? Please tell me what that is like. I'd really like to know.

You just described my husband. All I can say is I lucked out after having bad relationships until I met him.

Good luck to you. I hope you find that special someone.
Thank you for BA🌹@BlondilyOld

Just because somebody is in a relationship does not mean their partner does all those things. This is assuming of course that you are wanting a relationship with someone. Well let me tell you relationships are more suffering than anything. At first it's great and you get to have awesome sex but that soon wears off 43 funny and at that point you're pretty much wished the person would fall off the face of the Earth.

I think u’ve got some kind of fantasy about love...it’s not what it’s cracked up to be. Relationships are hard work and need to be maintained in order for love to flourish!

It's awesome but there's a price to pay. Always.

@CestManan It will cost you a bit of freedom. There will be times of pain and consternation. You have to give up a piece of yourself. You have to do the dishes occasionally. ❤

@SW-User those would be manageable if that's all it cost to be in a relationship. Too often one person wants to enter the others life and flip their entire world upside down and then just walk out one day for no apparent reason. I think the original poster and a lot of other people who want relationships have this fairy-tale image of what it is like but reality is not even close to what they imagine

@CestManan oh for sure. my example was best case scenario! when it goes bad, it really goes bad!

It is kind of like sitting on a rainbow with a leprechaun that shares their pot of gold. Cheers and happy weekend!
It feels great. It's the best feeling in tne world. Everyone wants to be understood.
