Desperate times and all that...

Sooo tired and I don’t know if I can wait for kiddos 8pm bedtime....

Is it totally terrible of me to sneakily change the clock today to show an hour later than it is? lol

She’s 8...I don’t think she’d notice. If I get her down at 7pm I can have a bath and go to sleep at 8 myself

Feel like a criminal just thinking about it hahahah

@PhaqueYou I can’t see her noticing. Up until she came to live with me a few weeks ago she was being put in bed at 4 or 5pm a lot. She just about stays awake to 8pm as it is now. Plus she was awake around 3am today, went back to sleep then up at 5:30am

@Raffiki how old is she?

@Raffiki they were putting her to bed at 4 or 5 pm? that's so sad! I always had the same bedtime routine: they come with me to walk the dog after dinner, bath, story time. The walk and the bath really helped tire them out. Before we got the dog, we would just walk around the neighbourhood

@Jenny1234 yup, it was a regular thing. Weren’t giving her dinner on those days either. She pretty much came home from school, did homework and went to bed.

thats a great routine! At the moment I do an hour long routine with her which includes half an hour of reading. She reads aloud to me then I read a couple chapters until she’s ready to sleep. Usually we go to the beach or pool after school so that tires her out.
