I have mixed feelings about the b word

To remove any mystery I am talking about bitch. With my girlfriends we use it a lot about each other and other women. It feels playful, fun and safe. But it’s jarring when I hear a guy use it in a way to criticize a woman. It sounds mean and spiteful. I was with a man who suddenly called me bitch and it sounded awfully aggressive. Maybe it was meant as a dominant move but it felt degrading in general. I don’t know but those are my mixed feelings
