What do you do if someone hurts your feelings?

Whenever I get my feelings hurt I end up keeping it to myself. Should I tell the person or should I try to avoid conflict by not telling them?

First avoid or reduce interaction with the person. It's like on purpose looking for trouble and end up beaten.

If the person is important part of life, then go for indirect communication and not direct, like messaging or leaving a note etc. Avoid calling the person or asking or answering direct.
